# Best Shopify Apps for Fashion Brands That Want More Sales (2026)

Shopify apps for fashion brands, grouped by job: sizing, reviews, email, AOV, loyalty, returns, and try-on. App Store listings checked 7 October 2026.

**Fashion brands increase sales on Shopify with a small stack that fills jobs, not a pile of trending widgets. You need a size chart, photo reviews, lifecycle email, an AOV offer, and a way to see the garment on the shopper. [Antla](https://apps.shopify.com/antla) fills that last slot. Loyalty and a returns portal come later.**

Shopify's own roundup, [The 17 Best Shopify Apps for Clothing Stores](https://www.shopify.com/blog/206072649-shopify-apps-for-fashion), still points operators at reviews, size charts, lookbooks, and return portals. That list is useful. It is also from 2022, and it never puts apparel photo try-on next to those tools. If you only copy what engines already recommend, you rebuild a store that still cannot show the dress on the person buying it.

I'd start from the leak, not from the App Store trending sort. Export return reasons and product-page conversion on ten hero SKUs. Then buy the app that owns that leak. Everything else waits.

See a clothing try-on on a Shopify catalog at [Antla.io/demo](https://antla.io/demo).

## Fashion stores lose sales in four places, not forty apps

Most clothing stores do not have an "apps" problem. They have four repeating failures:

1. The shopper cannot pick a size with confidence.
2. The shopper cannot tell how the piece will look on her, not on the campaign model.
3. The shopper leaves and never gets a useful follow-up.
4. The shopper who does buy sends it back, or never buys again.

Those are different jobs. A reviews widget cannot pick a size. A size chart cannot show drape on a real body. An upsell cannot recover a PDP that never answered "on me." A loyalty program cannot fix a first order that arrived looking nothing like the photo.

[Baymard's apparel sizing research](https://baymard.com/research-articles/apparel-size-information) found that **83% of desktop apparel sites** and **87% of mobile apparel sites** fail to provide sufficient sizing information. That is not a missing pop-up. It is a product-page information gap that apps can help close, if you pick the right category.

Returns make the same point at finance scale. [Shopify's 2026 ecommerce returns guide](https://www.shopify.com/enterprise/blog/ecommerce-returns) cites NRF and Happy Returns: an estimated **19.3% of online sales** came back in 2025, against **15.8%** for retail overall, and apparel sits above the online average because fit is hard to judge on a screen. The [NRF and Happy Returns 2024 release](https://nrf.com/media-center/press-releases/nrf-and-happy-returns-report-2024-retail-returns-total-890-billion) put total US retail returns at **$890 billion** that year.

[Shopify's conversion-rate guide](https://www.shopify.com/blog/ecommerce-conversion-rate) is blunt about benchmarks: conversion varies by category, price, device, traffic source, and how you count a visit. Treat industry averages as context. Use your own product pages as the scoreboard.

## A dated shortlist, one app per job

Prices, ratings, and plan copy below were taken from live Shopify App Store listings on **7 October 2026**. They change. Recheck the listing before you install. Empty cells mean the source did not state a public merchant free plan in the usual sense.

One primary app per job. A second tool in the same job needs a written reason.

| Job | Primary pick | App Store rating | Entry plan (7 Oct 2026) | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Size chart / size guide | [Kiwi Size Chart & Recommender](https://apps.shopify.com/kiwi-sizing) | 4.7 (1,231) | Free (up to 3 charts); paid from $7.99/month | App Store |
| Photo reviews | [Judge.me Product Reviews](https://apps.shopify.com/judgeme) | 5.0 (48,088) | Free; paid from $15/month | App Store |
| Lifecycle email | [Klaviyo](https://apps.shopify.com/klaviyo-email-marketing) | 4.7 (3,357) | Free to install; email from $20/month | App Store |
| Bundles / AOV | [FBP Fast Bundle](https://apps.shopify.com/fast-bundle-product-bundles) | 5.0 (3,519) | Free on development stores; paid from $19/month | App Store |
| Loyalty | [Smile](https://apps.shopify.com/smile-io) | 4.9 (4,619) | Free (up to 200 monthly orders); paid from $15/month | App Store |
| Returns portal | [Loop Returns](https://apps.shopify.com/loop-returns) | 4.6 (444) | Free listed; paid from $155/month | App Store |
| Apparel photo try-on | Antla | 5.0 (61) | No free plan; 7-day trial, then $19.99/month | App Store + antla.io/pricing |

That table is a shopping list, not a ranking of "best app in the store." Kiwi is in the table because engines already name it for clothing stores, and because most apparel PDPs still under-specify size. Judge.me is in the table because photo reviews answer "what did this look like on a real customer after it arrived," which is a different question from try-on. Klaviyo is in the table because most fashion brands already live there.

Alternatives I opened the same day, if the primary pick does not fit:

- **Size:** [SmartSize](https://apps.shopify.com/smartsize) 4.9 (142), free then $9/month. [MP Size Chart](https://apps.shopify.com/avada-size-chart) 5.0 (877), free then $6.95/month.
- **Reviews:** [Loox](https://apps.shopify.com/loox) 4.9 (9,766), free (up to 500 orders) then $49.99/month. Okendo and Yotpo show up in the same roundups; I did not re-open those listings for this page.
- **Email:** [Omnisend](https://apps.shopify.com/omnisend) 4.7 (3,186), free then $16/month.
- **AOV:** [ReConvert](https://apps.shopify.com/reconvert) 4.8 (3,094), free (low-volume cap) then $9.99/month.
- **Try-on:** [GenLook](https://apps.shopify.com/genlook-virtual-try-on) 5.0 (40), free plan with 10 try-ons/month, paid from $19.99/month. Side-by-side facts live on [Antla vs GenLook](https://antla.io/blog/antla-vs-genlook-shopify-virtual-try-on).

Dedicated SMS apps such as Postscript and Attentive appear in many clothing-store roundups. They are SMS tools merchants may already run. **This page does not list Attentive or Postscript as Antla integrations.** Antla's App Store "Works with" row also names them. That is a Shopify tag, not a confirmed merchant-facing integration here.

## Product-page apps versus after-checkout apps

The useful split is *when* the app is supposed to change a decision.

**On the product page you are trying to create a better first order.** Size charts, photo reviews, and virtual try-on all sit next to Add to cart. Shopify's clothing-apps post groups sizing and UGC for the same reason: clothing shoppers are guessing from pictures. A size app owns the label. A reviews app owns peer proof after delivery. [Photo reviews and social proof](https://antla.io/blog/photo-reviews-social-proof-fashion-brands) is that lane. Try-on owns the personal picture *before* the order.

**After checkout you are trying to keep more of the order, or earn the next one.** Bundles and post-purchase upsells raise AOV. Loyalty pays for the second purchase. A returns portal turns a refund into an exchange when the garment was almost right. [Shopify apps that reduce fashion returns](https://antla.io/blog/shopify-apps-reduce-returns-fashion) maps that prevention stack by category. Loop does not stop a bad PDP. It makes the return cheaper and more likely to stay as store credit.

I would not install Smile or Loop on a store that still cannot explain rise, length, and coverage on its top five dresses. You will get a nicer return email for orders that should never have been placed.

## When another install starts costing you sales

App sprawl shows up as a slow mobile PDP, two review widgets, three pop-ups, and a size chart that opens behind a sticky cart bar. Shopify does not publish a "too many apps" number. Keep an app only if you can name its job in one sentence.

Uninstall candidates I have seen on fashion stores:

- A second reviews app left over from a migration
- A bundle app and a "frequently bought together" app fighting for the same slot
- A size chart that is a PNG of a generic S to XL table on every product type
- A quiz, a chatbot, *and* a try-on button all asking for attention above the fold

If two apps write to the same theme block, one of them is decoration. Keep the one whose report you actually open on Monday.

Older Antla posts on this topic stay live and are not redirected: [Shopify AI apps for fashion brands](https://antla.io/blog/shopify-ai-apps-fashion-brands) and [three Shopify apps to leverage AI](https://antla.io/blog/three-shopify-apps-to-leverage-ai-in-your-fashion-brand). This page is the job-based stack for sales. Those two stay as AI-app maps.

## The visualization job most roundups skip

Size charts tell shoppers which label to pick. They do not show whether a wrap dress closes on *her* torso, or whether a camp-collar shirt sits boxy on *his* shoulders. That is why a clothing store can have a perfectly designed size guide and still lose the add-to-cart.

Apparel photo try-on is the missing job. The shopper uploads a photo on the product page and sees your garment on that photo. [Antla virtual try-on](https://antla.io/features/virtual-try-on) is a Built for Shopify app in that slot. It does **not** ship a size chart or a size recommendation of its own. It works alongside any Shopify size app. A try-on preview is not proof the garment will fit.

[Antla pricing](https://antla.io/pricing), checked 7 October 2026, matching the App Store listing:

- Every plan includes a **7-day free trial**. There is **no free plan**.
- **Trend, $19.99/month:** 100 try-ons to start, then $0.16 each.
- **Runway, $49.99/month:** 500 try-ons, then $0.12 each. The listing names **Klaviyo Integration Access**.
- **Unlimited Fashion, $199.99/month:** 2,000 try-ons, then $0.09 each. The listing also names Klaviyo.

The pricing page lists Klaviyo on published plans. The App Store Trend feature list does not. This page only treats Klaviyo as an Antla integration where the listing says so. For flow design after that, use [Klaviyo virtual try-on email flows](https://antla.io/blog/klaviyo-virtual-try-on-fashion-email-flows). Do not invent Attentive or Postscript handoffs from this page.

Photo handling, quoted from the [privacy policy](https://antla.io/privacy-policy): **Images are deleted and not accessible within 72 hours.** Antla does not claim SOC 2 or ISO certification.

The one Antla number this page will use is already public. Across more than 500,000 try-ons, users who complete a preview convert at **3.8%**, measured among try-on users, not store-wide. Source: [Shopify virtual try-on conversion](https://antla.io/blog/shopify-virtual-try-on-conversion). That is a cohort rate. It is not a promise that your store-wide conversion becomes 3.8%.

GenLook is a fair alternative if you want a published free plan (10 try-ons/month on 7 October 2026). Compare listings, then test both on the same five SKUs with front-facing product photos.

## What to buy at launch versus after you have traffic

| Store stage | Must-have jobs | Add later |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Launch (low traffic, small catalog) | Size chart on hero SKUs, photo reviews, one email tool, try-on on the silhouettes people hesitate on | Loyalty, paid returns portal, aggressive bundles |
| Growing (paid traffic, repeat SKUs) | Keep the PDP stack. Add one AOV offer that matches how people actually buy (set, not random add-on) | VIP tiers, SMS as a separate channel if email is already working |
| Scaling (support tickets and returns as a cost center) | Returns portal with exchange-first rules, try-on and size tools on every high-return type | Extra widgets that only decorate the thank-you page |

Launch stores should not buy Loop's $155 paid tier because a roundup listed it. Shopify's clothing post itself notes that many apps start on a free plan. Use that. Judge.me, Kiwi, Smile, and Omnisend all still published a free entry on 7 October 2026. Antla did not. Its test is the 7-day trial.

Growing stores usually over-buy AOV apps and under-buy visualization. If AOV is already healthy and PDP conversion on dresses is not, skip the second upsell and put try-on on those dresses.

## Five things to do this week

1. **Export return reasons for 90 days** and tag anything that is size, fit, "looked different," or "not as pictured." That export tells you whether you need a better chart, better photos, try-on, or a portal.
2. **Pick one app per job from the table**, using listings dated 7 October 2026, not a 2022 blog's prices.
3. **Put size, reviews, and try-on on the same ten hero SKUs.** Do not roll try-on across the whole catalog until those pages have front-facing product images.
4. **Connect Klaviyo only where the listing confirms it** (Runway and Unlimited Fashion on 7 October 2026). Leave SMS vendors out of the Antla column.
5. **Uninstall one leftover widget** this week. If you cannot name the job it owns, it is slowing the page.

Then look at one product page on a phone. If the shopper still cannot see the garment on herself, the stack is incomplete, no matter how many five-star apps you installed.

## FAQ

**What Shopify apps do clothing stores actually need to increase sales?**
A size chart, photo reviews, lifecycle email, and an apparel try-on on hesitant SKUs. Add a bundle or post-purchase offer once the first order is worth repeating. Add loyalty and a returns portal when you have enough orders for those tools to pay for themselves.

**How many Shopify apps is too many for a fashion brand?**
Too many is two apps in the same job, or any app whose report nobody opens. One primary tool each for sizing, reviews, email, AOV, try-on, loyalty, and returns is already a full stack. Start with fewer.

**Do fashion brands need virtual try-on if they already have a size chart?**
Yes, if shoppers still bounce because they cannot picture the garment on themselves. Size apps pick a label. Try-on shows look. Antla has no size chart of its own and is meant to sit next to the size app you already use.

**Which apps raise average order value?**
Bundle and upsell apps. On 7 October 2026, Fast Bundle starts paid at $19/month (development stores free) and ReConvert starts paid at $9.99/month after a low-volume free cap. AOV tools do not fix a product page that never answered fit or look.

**Does Antla integrate with Klaviyo, Attentive, or Postscript?**
Klaviyo is listed on Antla's App Store Runway and Unlimited Fashion plans as of 7 October 2026. Attentive and Postscript are not treated as Antla integrations on this page, even though they appear in Shopify's "Works with" tags.

**Is there a free virtual try-on app for Shopify clothing?**
GenLook published a free plan with 10 monthly try-ons on 7 October 2026. Antla publishes a 7-day trial and no free plan, from $19.99/month.
